Gone

into the green box on the second shelf –

postcards, pebbles and

{tearshugsmagiclaughskisses}

tucked away, ghost-like

reflextions on the mind,

emprinted in an accidental smile.

  1. This is intriguing. I can’t decide whether it is sad or happy. Both? In your other poems that I’ve read or listened to, it’s the musicality that is very obvious and enjoyable. Here it’s the way the words are printed to meet the eye – and of course that underscores the subject matter. Very clever.

  2. this is a most exquisite poem. like a sparkling jewel, but not the flashy kind. the rich rare and subtle kind. an amethyst maybe, on a ring worn round the neck on a gold chain
