Kiersty Boon is a writer, publisher and performance artist from Hove, East Sussex.
One novel, two poetry collections and two cds have been published and sold worldwide.
The much loved story of Kate and Ern in ‘Walking on Chalk’, was first written online, with daily postings attracting a solid fan base internationally. The book was subsequently published in 2008 by Legend Press, expanding on the tale of these charming but dysfunctional characters and their tragic relationship. The first poetry collection, ‘The Poet Busker’ led to numerous invitations to perform at festivals, clubs and pubs, with music accompaniments in duet with the spoken word. The second collection, ‘Little White Lies’ was later converted into an i-book, which combined visual, audio and background information for what has been described as a poetic 3(.24)D experience.
Kiersty has won several competitions for both her poetry and prose pieces and has had her poems published in various Forward Press collections, magazines and online zines.
Kiersty has moved her experience and expertise of publishing to offer the service to other writers and groups internationally. (Read more…)
Kiersty runs workshops on self-publishing, blog building, poetry and poetry performance. (Read more…)

Hi Kiersty, I’m Buz from Somewhere off Jazz Street. I just got to listen to the Bus Ride (and watch the video too) and I love what you’ve done with the song. Your voice and your words are captivating !!
Happy Valentines day!
Much love.
Salutations from Southwick! Odd that it took an Aussie to tell me you were there, I’ll be checking out the book soon.
I think your website is wonderful… Paul sent me over there a while ago. I’ll add your link (http://brightonpeople.wordpress.com) as us Brightonians should stick together!
You gave me a poem outside the Brighton museum, and read me some others – which were lovely.
I really loved ‘the shopping list’
Lovely to bump into you in the Brighton sunshine yesterday, and thanks for the info re self-publishing and new ways with poetry! I’m starting to think that’s the way to go – Seize the day!
Kiersty – thank you so very much for performing at Rapunzel Gets Down last night – I think you’re bloody marvellous and we had some wonderful feedback from the audience. Thank you too for the poem postcards – I think ‘First Light’ is a masterpiece! We’d love to have you back some time if you’re up for it. Apologies for not buying ‘Poet Busker’ last night – too distracted – but I’m off to do it right now… Ann x
Thank you for visiting my blog and for the invitation (as said if you need a lady with very little time and very poor review skills, here I am )
PS I love your podcasts and videos.

Hi sweetie stumbled across your blog by accident. (Fortuna spins again!!!)
Love your ideas and your work. I’m also a writer and live in Sussex, I’ve been looking to spread my voice a little, thinking I need a few cultured minds to bumble along with!! Could I send you some of my work possibly as any critique would be much appreciated.
I hope this find you in gloried health and with the same wonderment it was sent.
Your Rob. xx.
Hey Rob – no problem. If you send it to boonwriter@gmail.com. There’s quite a vibrant writing and poetry scene in Brighton. You won’t go short on minds but it might strain on the culture 🙂
